The Dementia Friendly Guernsey badge scheme aims to raise awareness and support of people living with dementia.
There are three badges that represent the wearers’ relationship with dementia as specified below.
“I support people living with dementia”
“I live with dementia”
“I am dementia aware”
How do I get a badge?
Blue Badges
Blue badges will be available to pick up for a small donation at various locations around the island. Library, surgeries, pharmacies, douzaine rooms, post offices, banks, and certain retail outlets.
Orange Badges
Orange badges will only be given out to those living with dementia by emailing us at info@dementiafriendly.org.gg
Green Badges
Green badges will be awarded to those people who have completed the dementia awareness course locally. Find out more about our Awareness Courses.
